Hybrid Plug-In Units
DUECO has an exclusive agreement with Odyne Corporation, a leading developer of advanced plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) technology, in the development of a proprietary plug-in system optimized for aerial lift applications. Not a standard hybrid, a DUECO-Odyne unit provides the energy used to operate truckloads during stationary operation from the power grid, not the internal combustion engine. A drive system, specially developed for aerial lifts, is designed to minimize fuel use and emissions in a typical aerial truck job as the engine can be shut off during stationary operation.
- Engine shut-off during operation provides fuel savings, along with, noise and emission reductions.
- Ability to use “off-peak” domestic electric power to recharge the system.
- System charged three ways: 1-Plug-in at night, 2-Charge through engine use, 3- patent pending.
- The traction motor drive has propulsion systems ranging from 100 to 400 HP.
- An auxiliary drive is used for air conditioning, air-brakes, and power steering.
- A stored energy system is a completely self-contained unit with batteries, chargers, and energy/thermal management.
- 25 Kwh of exportable power is available with a DC to AC invertors.
- Combines Anti-idling and hybrid system in to one option.
- Qualifies for governmental hybrid credits.
