DUECO is committed to the safety and knowledge of owners and user/operators of aerial lift and digger derrick equipment. We feel as the manufacturer, we have the responsibility to offer high impact operator’s training programs. DUECO provides three types of operator training:
Level One: Apprentice or In-Service Training
DUECO's apprentice or in-service training is a generalized equipment presentation, followed by 'hands-on' familiarization and operation of the unit. A free in-service from DUECO is offered and highly recommended with the purchase of any new aerial lift or digger derrick. Topics covered are:
- Use of personal protective equipment.
- Visual inspections.
- Equipment setup.
- Lifting loads.
- Discussion of what is insulated, isolated, and dielectrically tested and certified.
- Explanation of unit warranty, operation manuals, and maintenance & parts manals.
- Unit operation.
Level Two: Certified Operator Training
DUECO’s certified operator training is a classroom and hands-on experience in which your company gets documentation that your operators are properly trained and informed on an aerial lift or digger derrick unit. With factory-trained instructors, a training session generally lasts four to six hours and is taught at the DUECO facility or your facility. A complete Certified Operators Training includes:
- All features of an apprentice or in-service training.
- A better understanding of the ANSI A 92.2-2001 standard associated with Aerial Equipment.
- Safe practices concerning aerial lift of digger derrick equipment.
- The do’s and don’ts associated with aerial lift and digger derrick equipment.
- Viewing of video concerning safe working habits and practices.
- Hands-on training, including pre-start inspection of unit and actual operation of unit.
- A written and proficiency test at end of class to become certified operator.
